This gentle cleanser detoxifies the hair and scalp, removing any impurities that could prevent the colour or treatment service from working to its full potential. It improves the hair's absorption of colour and active ingredients, as well as preparing it for an even pigment development. Additionally, this product balances the hair's porosity and fills the hair fibre.

This vegan, cruelty-free formula contains the following active ingredients:

• Arginine, which softens the cuticle and increases the pH of the water on the hair. These actions promote the healthy lifting of the cuticles, leading to better colour binding and treatment absorption. This ingredient also strengthens the hair.
• Coconut acid, which is a mild surfactant that helps to gently cleanse the hair and scalp.
• Betaine, which supports the hair's porosity while providing it with nourishment.

99% of the ingredients in these tablets are active, while its formula only contains 0.2% water. Its formula is free from sulphates, ammonia, MEA, DEA, PPD and PDT.

This product is part of the P.O.D system, which utilises water by softening it and making it more functional for different hair types. This system includes the following steps:

1. Chelating the hair with The Mineral Cleansing Spray.
2. Cleansing the hair with a shampoo of your choice.
3. Balancing the hair's pH levels with The Shield.
4. Preparing the hair with an ECOHEADS P.O.D Prep of your choice.
5. Performing the service on the hair, whether it be colour, toning or a conditioning treatment.
6. Finishing the service with The Sealer.

The Prep is to be used in step 4 of the P.O.D system. To use it, place it into The Adaptor to apply it to damp hair, focusing on the roots and mid-lengths. Then massage it in gently and leave it on for 2 minutes. After that, towel dry the hair before proceeding with step 5.

You can also use The Prep as an add-on to a cut or blow dry, or if your client has oil or dirt buildup. In these instances, The Prep acts as a mild cleansing primer and is the equivalent of one wash. ECOHEADS recommend cleansing the hair with shampoo before using The Prep for these cases.
